4th International Yoga Day (Thursday, The 21st June 2018) Celebrations At HIT Dehradun
The 4th International Yoga Day was celebrated today ie. on Thursday the 21st june 2018,at HIT, Dehradun with great enthusiasm and vigour. Prof. Aarachana Jasola, Director, HIT with students, faculty and staff members participated in the event. Participants of all age groups among the staff also participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
Ms. Ruchika Midhas, a certified Yoga Trainer, guided the students with different Asanas.
The Yoga session started exactly with prayer, and systematic practice of different “ASANAS” of standing, sitting and laying positions (both lying on back and reverse) smoothly changing in succession under the instructions of Yoga Trainer and supervision of trained volunteers. During the course of “Yogabhas”, the Yoga Trainer also narrated the usefulness of different “Asanas” in curing many diseases and the usefulness of yoga in the overall well being of human beings.
The entire “YOGABHYAS” lasted for an hour and ended with a “Sanskrit Shloka” and oath by all the participants that they will continue to practice Yoga for keeping their body and mind in healthy, stress-free and cheerful condition.
It was a great event and each and every student together with our entire staff enjoyed this event to the fullest.
