HNBG Central University was established in 1973 by UGC, Ministry of HRD, and Govt. of India. Today over 50,000 resident/non-resident students benefit by the holistic educational facilities from pre-primary to Ph.D. HNBG University offers both short term and long term programmes leading to Certificates, Diplomas or Degrees which are conventional as well as innovative in nature.

The HNBG University is approved/recognised by the University Grant Commission under UGC Act, 1956, Central Government with effect from year 1973. HNBG University is also a member of Association of Indian Universities.

HNBG University is approved by UGC, Ministry of HRD, Government of India. It is among the largest top ten Universities of India and NAAC has given the Five Star category to the HNBG University.
