Dehradun is a capital of Uttarakhand (earlier
known as Uttarakhand) which is situated at the footsteps of
the Shivalik Hills between the holy rivers of Yamuna &
Ganges. It is a place of pilgrimage, tourism, adventure, natural
beauty and Education.
It
is said that during the ancient period of Mahabharata, this
place was the abode of Guru Drona Charya, the Guru of Kauravas
and Pandavas. The name Dehradun has emerged out of Dera Dron
which means the abode of Guru Drona Charya. Hence from the
time of Mahabharata it-self this place has earned fame for
spreading knowledge and education.
Today
Dehradun has a number of Educational Schools and Institutes
